Warehouse

Peak does not wait
for a req to clear.

Orders tripled and the pick line is the bottleneck. A container lands Thursday and the floor is already full. Cycle count is due and nobody has a spare shift to give it. Post the shift with the hours and the certification it calls for, and connect with pickers, packers, and certified operators nearby — for the surge, not the year.

When you'd use this

Three situations this actually solves

Not a category description — the calls fulfillment managers are already making.

Typical shifts
Orders outran the floor
A promo, a launch, or a holiday week doubles outbound. Post the shift and the headcount and add pickers and packers for the days that need them.
Freight is landing
Container unloads, palletizing, put-away, and a returns pile that has become its own project. Post the equipment the job requires and reach workers who already run it.
The count is due
Cycle counts, wall-to-wall inventory, slotting changes, and reset weekends. Scoped to the count and finished before the system reopens.

Certifications

Forklift, and everything like it

Equipment certification is the one thing on a warehouse post you should never assume, so here is the honest version.

Ask for it on the post. Verify it on arrival.

Plenty of Gophers run powered equipment and say so on their profile. Gopher does not issue that certification — it comes from a training provider or an employer, and running powered equipment on your floor is regulated. Put the requirement on the post, confirm the card before you accept, and apply whatever your site already asks of a visiting operator.

  • Equipment — Sit-down, stand-up reach, order picker, walkie rider, pallet jack. They are not interchangeable, and an operator knows it.
  • Verification — Whether you will check the certification on arrival, and exactly what you want to see.
  • PPE — Steel toes, hi-vis, hard hat — and whether the worker brings it or you supply it.
Read this before you post equipment work. Every worker on the platform has passed a background check, and profiles show ratings and past jobs — none of which is an equipment certification, and Connect does not verify one on your behalf. Site safety, training records, and supervision on your floor stay yours. If your operation has a hard requirement here, talk to us before you post rather than sorting it out in the lot at 6 AM.
How it works

Posted to picked

1

Describe the shift

Hours, headcount, the equipment involved, PPE, and any certification the work requires. Photos of the dock and the floor help.

2

Set what you'll pay

Your offer is what each worker earns — 100% of it. Or open it to bids and compare.

3

Pick who takes it

Review profiles, ratings, and certifications. Hire, consider, or deny — and save the good ones to MY Gophers.

4

Confirm when it's done

Confirm and rate on completion, which releases payment. Something not right? Dispute instead and give them a chance to fix it.
