Is it actually free, or is there a catch?
Joining is free to start, and Gopher takes 0% commission on the deals you run. Every dollar of your margin stays with you — there’s no cut taken out of each order the way the big delivery platforms do it.
Do I have to give up a slice of every sale?
No. There are no per-order commissions or hidden fees on your deals. You publish one honest price — the same in-store and on Gopher — so you never have to inflate your prices just to cover platform costs.
Who will actually see my deal?
Every Gopher user near you — both Customers and Workers — anytime they’re within 25 miles of your business. So it’s a lot more than just the local population.
Will I lose control of my brand and pricing?
Not at all. Your logo, tagline, and voice stay front and center, and you set your own deal and price. Gopher puts you in front of your neighbors without flattening you into a thumbnail in an endless scroll.
What do I need to sign up, and how involved is it?
Just the basics: your business name, address, a logo, the deal you’d like to offer, and your contact details. You’ll get to review exactly how your deal looks before anything goes live.
How do customers use the deal once it’s live?
You set the offer and an optional promo code, and customers redeem it with you directly — in-store or online. You keep the customer relationship and any repeat business that comes from it.
So really… what’s the “Deal” for merchants?
Frankly, we added Deals because we have real friends who are real local small-business owners — with great local restaurants and retail shops — who’d used third-party last-mile services before and got hosed. Those “formal” partnerships hurt their business identity and brand. We wanted to show that even with a semi-formal relationship, we could help — by letting you be you as the merchant. That’s it.

Do I have to pay for leads or pay to show up?
Never. There are no lead fees and no pay-to-play. You’re seen by every Gopher user in your radius (up to 50 miles) for free — no $20–$80 charge for a lead that five other pros also bought.
How and when do I get paid?
You set the exact amount you want to earn for a deal, and that’s what lands in your payout account once the job is done. You’re paid what you charge — the moment you finish.
Who owns my customers and my reviews?
You do. Ratings come from real, completed jobs and are portable — they belong to you, along with the customer and any repeat work, not the platform.
Is it free to participate, and what do I need to start?
Yes — it’s a 100% free benefit to eligible service providers. You’re eligible once you’re Elite, Elite+, or Pro with 20+ completed service jobs and a 4.75★ average over your last 20 service jobs. Delivery, Ride Sharing, and Other jobs don’t count — toward the 20 or the rating average. Eligible workers offer deals right from the Gopher Go app.
Are these real customers, or will I get ghosted?
They’re verified customers with structured deals — no haggling, ghosting, or sketchy DM groups. The work is agreed up front and you’re paid as soon as it’s complete.
So really… what’s the “Deal” for service providers?
While building the Gopher Marketplace, founder John Newbury personally engaged with marketplace and lead-generation platforms to learn — and saw a major opportunity in how unfairly workers were positioned to earn. Whether being pigeonholed into a low-paying zone or paying for service leads where the “customer” never intended to move forward, he knew there was a better model. Gopher Deals for service providers is the first step: offer a deal for free, earn a new customer who paid a small fee to find your deal, and get paid once the job is done. It sounds simple, because it is!
