Gopher Go, made simple.
This is your step-by-step guide to earning on Gopher Go — the worker hub built with every worker in mind. Bring your skillset, set up once, and let the jobs come to you. You decide what to take, the customer pays you directly, and we make sure the money lands fast.
Sign in or create your account
Gopher Go is an app-only, passwordless experience — nothing to memorize. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone.
- Download Gopher Go (free) and tap Sign in with phone.
- Enter your number and tap Send Code.
- Type the 6-digit code we text you. That's it — you're in.
New here?
Tap Create an account and add your name, phone, email, address, and date of birth. We'll verify your phone and email with the same quick code step.
Complete your profile
A complete profile builds trust and helps customers pick you. From your dashboard, open Account → Personal Info.
Personal info
- Add a recent, clear profile photo — real faces get hired.
- Confirm your legal name, birthday, phone, email, and address.
- Write a short bio that sells your skillset.
Ride-sharing & business info (optional)
- If your business is licensed, bonded, and/or insured, upload your verified credentials here.
- Upload photos of completed jobs. Trust us on this one — a portfolio is one of the biggest drivers of getting requested by name.
Set up your payout account
This is the one that unlocks everything. On your dashboard go to Account → Payout Account. A valid payout account is required to view and accept requests — no payout account, no jobs.
- Payouts run through Stripe using a custom process. There are no fees to get paid.
- Money is deposited directly to your bank the moment a job is confirmed complete (see payout speed below).
- Add a debit card that's eligible for instant deposits so you're not waiting.
Work settings & radius
Tell Gopher Go what you want to do and how far you'll travel. Open More → Work Settings & Radius, pick your job categories, and set your distance.

Know what you're looking at
Every job in your feed shows the same essentials up front: the pay, the category, a short description, when it's needed, how far away it is, and any special tags. Here's a sample card.
Preview is illustrative — actual in-app screens coming soon.
What the badges mean
Tags and icons tell you what a job involves before you tap in. Learn these and you'll read your feed in seconds.
When does it need doing?
Every job carries one of three timing types. This decides what happens after you accept.
Understand exactly what you'll make
Three offer types, three things to know. The number you pocket is always the Earn $.
Earn $
The straightforward one. The Earn $ amount is exactly what you make. Earn $20.00 means $20.00 lands in your account at completion.
Total $ (Earn $ | Spend $)
The customer added funds for you to buy items on their behalf. You front the Spend $, you keep the Earn $, and the Total $ is what's deposited at completion.
Don't accept a Total $ job unless you're happy to cover the Spend $ up front.
Request bids from local workers
The customer didn't set a price — they asked local workers to send bids. You name your own number (your Earn $) and submit it. If they pick your bid, the job is yours at that Earn.
Decide and lock it in
- Question? — Need more info before deciding? Tap Question? to message the customer. This is for clarifying the job, not for negotiating price or swapping personal contact info.
- Counter-Offer — Want the job at a different number? Propose a counter on your Earn $ (your pay). If accepted, it's yours at the new amount — and the customer is bound to it. Keep it reasonable: a 3-mile, $5 trip might fairly counter to $10 — not $30.
- Accept Request — All good? Agree to the cancellation terms box and tap Accept Request. You're on.
Tools while the job's active
Once you've accepted, your active-request screen has everything you need.
- Text / Call the customer through the app using the buttons under their name. Send a quick text at the start of every job — "On my way!" goes a long way.
- Pick-Up and Destination buttons open turn-by-turn navigation in Google Maps.
- If the pick-up says "Gopher's Choice," the item can be bought anywhere — pick whatever's closest or easiest for you.
Update in real time → get paid
The Update Request button at the bottom of your active screen walks you through the finish line. Every update is GPS- and time-stamped, so make each one at the correct location.
Payouts & speed
Once the job's confirmed complete, the money's yours — deposited straight to your bank, with no fee and never any cut taken out of your Earn $. How fast it lands depends on where you are in your journey.
Your first 10 jobs — the trust-building phase
For your first 10 completed payouts, deposits arrive at Standard speed (~2 hours) after a confirmed completion. Most people consider 2 hours plenty fast — but it gets faster.
After 10 jobs (or as Elite / Pro) — bullet speed
Once you've completed 10 jobs, your payout speed upgrades to bullet speed (~1–2 minutes). Elite, Elite+, and Pro workers skip the trust-building phase and get bullet-speed payouts from the start.
Cost adjustments
Use a Cost Adjustment when the real price of purchased items differs from the customer's estimate. Simply submit the new amount and the customer can approve it immediately.
Example
The customer budgeted $10 for an item that rings up at $10.91. Submit a Cost Adjustment for the new cost of items — $10.91 — and upload the receipt. Done.
Best practices
- Item costs are never earnings. If the estimate is off by more than $1 — over or under — adjust to the exact amount and attach the receipt. Put yourself in the customer's shoes; it's a no-brainer.
- Big jumps? Adjust before you buy. If the new cost would raise the total request by more than 20%, submit the Cost Adjustment first so the customer's payment can cover it.
- If a large adjustment can't be approved, let the customer know purchases must stay within their original budget.
Age-restricted deliveries
For age-restricted items, the law and our policy are strict — and the customer already agreed to these terms when they ordered.
- When you set the job to Completed, you must photograph the front of the customer's ID in the app before handing over the items.
- Contactless delivery is never allowed for these orders.
- Missing the ID step can mean a delayed payout or disqualification.
Customer not there?
You must be at the drop-off location. Tap "Tap here if customer is not present at drop off location…" to start a 10-minute timer. If they're still not there when it expires, select "Recipient No Show," leave with the items, and you're paid in full.
Rate your customer & become a favorite
Don't forget to rate your customer after each job — ratings keep the marketplace trustworthy both ways.
Becoming a favorite
After every job, the customer can add you as a preferred provider. Once you're a Favorite, they can:
- Request you by name — jobs land in your feed first (yours alone for the first full minute, one minute ahead of every other tier).
- Recommend you to their contacts, sending you more work without lifting a finger.
Refer yourself & grow your own book
Every worker has a unique self-referral code and QR. Share it with anyone — when they sign up through it and make their first request, it can come straight to you, and they're prompted to add you as a Favorite instantly.
Your shortcut to new customers
Use the "Refer yourself" link or post your QR code anywhere — work van, business cards, social, the neighborhood board. Each person you refer gets an instant inbox prompt to favorite you. From there, we handle the safe, instant payout once the job's done. Share away!
Elite, Elite+ & Pro
Gopher is the first gig marketplace to provide assurance for workers too — not just customers. Verify once and you carry a badge across every job, so the customer requesting you has real assurance, and so do you.

Ride Sharing isn't a tier unlock — any active Gopher can accept ride-sharing jobs once it's selected in Work Settings & Radius and all required vehicle and licence details are on file. Service-Provider Deals eligibility is automatic once you're a verified tier (Elite, Elite+, or Pro) with 20+ completed service jobs and a 4.75★ average over your last 20 service jobs (Delivery, Ride Sharing, and Other don't count toward either).
Learn more on the Gopher Go page.
Offer a Service-Provider Deal
Once you've built a track record, you can offer your own service at your own price to nearby neighbors on Gopher Deals — no paying for leads. You set exactly what you want to earn, and the customer books you directly. It's the same idea as a bid, but it's your standing offer instead of a one-off.
Are you eligible?
Service-Provider eligibility is automatic — there's nothing to buy and no application. You're in the moment you meet all three:
| The bar | What it means |
|---|---|
| A verified tier | Elite, Elite+, or Pro |
| 20+ completed service jobs | All-time, on Gopher Go — Delivery, Ride Sharing, and Other jobs don't count toward the 20 |
| 4.75★ over your last 20 service jobs | Average rating across your last 20 completed service jobs — the same categories that count toward the 20 |
How it works when you're eligible
The moment you qualify, it's automatic: you'll get a congratulations email from deals@gophergo.io explaining how to offer your first deal, and the green "+ Service Provider Deal" button at the top of your Gopher Go dashboard sidebar activates on its own. Tap it and your personal details are already filled in — you just add the deal and your price. In the Gopher Go app, the same entry lives in the Perks section of your Home screen.
Stay active & in good standing
A few habits keep your account healthy and your earnings flowing.
Avoid these cancellation reasons
- "Too far" — distance is posted before you accept. Check it.
- "Not enough money" — earnings are clear from the start.
- "Didn't mean to accept" — that'd be a lot of checkboxes to click through by accident.
- "Wasn't clear what to do" — DM the customer with Question? before committing.
Do this every time
- Update your job status in real time, at the right location.
- Complete jobs promptly and professionally.
- Communicate respectfully — always.
Safety & the rules
- Truly independent. You're not a Gopher employee and you're not on a leash — you work for the customer. We just make sure they pay you on time.
- All communication stays in-app. Sharing phone numbers, emails, or other personal contact info on the platform is strictly prohibited.
- Only take what you can do well. Don't accept jobs outside your qualifications or your ID/age eligibility.
Need help?
You're ready to earn! For anything else:
- Ask Gopher iQ — the assistant in the Help screen answers your questions instantly (how do I…, what does X mean, where is Y). Type it, or tap the mic and just say it — speaking gets the same answer as typing.
- Tap More Stuff → Help Center in the app — if anything ever feels wonky, send a message so we can fix it fast.
- Browse the Gopher Go FAQs — updated as the platform evolves.
- Email us at support@gophergo.io.
Now get in the game — go Gopher it!
