Is TrustShield really free?

Yes. Gopher TrustShield is our free identity verification, powered by IDenfy, and it’s open to everyone — there’s no cost to add it to your profile.

Why do I need TrustShield ID verification?

ID setup is required for age-restricted deliveries, and TrustShield keeps the platform compliant while reassuring both customers and workers that it isn’t being misused. Once your TrustShield is authenticated you don’t need to enter it again, ordering gets much faster, and you save $1 on every age-restricted request thereafter.

Do I still have to show my ID at delivery?

Yes. For age-restricted items you’ll always show a valid physical ID in person so it can be matched. If you’re TrustShield verified, your worker will already see your ID and photo in their app — the in-person check just confirms the match.

How long does approval take?

After you submit your info, you’ll be notified of your approval within minutes.

Why can’t I change my name for TrustShield?

If you set up your Gopher Request account with an alias, you won’t be able to apply for TrustShield, since the name has to match your ID. To keep your previous requests, email a clear photo of the front and back of your ID to support@gophergo.io. If your account has no activity, you can delete it and sign up again — just double-check your information before saving your profile.
